CAP Policy

Each of the content components is accompanied by metadata, source, and validity date. For some of the components, the validity date may not be known — in such cases, the content is considered to be perpetual. Under this scenario, the validity date should be assumed as ten years from the date of creation. Under no circumstances should any content be displayed on the website after its validity date.

For certain content components like announcements, tenders, and job details, only the live content — whose validity date is after the current date — is shown on the website.

For other components like documents, schemes, services, forms, websites, and contact directories, there is a need for timely review according to the Content Review Policy.

To retrieve content that has expired, an archival mechanism is required. Government websites, forms, services, etc., that are discontinued should be completely expunged from the system.

The content elements on the website follow distinct Entry/Exit and Archival Policies as outlined in the table below.
